Hannah's Song by Louise Tulacz

WARNING: THIS ANIMATION CONTAINS SOME SERIOUSLY BAD SINGING.!!!   This animation is a College project to find my friend Hannah a life partner in an innovative way. I used her passion to travel and the things she'd like to see and do along the way as inspiration for this piece. The idea for the song came from 'Pina Colada' by the american artist Rupert Holmes although my version has no music accompaniment to drown out the voice! Sorry, but Adele wasn't available!

I began with rough sketches and moved onto cut outs on thin white paper as I find card too hard to cut cleanly. I then sprayed with matt black car spray and laid over coloured card.
Next into photoshop to animate (which took me several days as I am a bit slow when it comes to technology!)
Then onto the store room with a coat over my head to stop the echo's, I recorded the lyrics. I nearly bottled it I was so nervous but managed to control the shakes and get something onto the memory card!
Lastly, (with the guidance of Nick one of the brilliant technicians) onto a mac to complete animation with sound.

An image showing part of the animation process.

And Hey Presto several weeks hard graft complete.
   THE END.

  1. A college animation project. Using my friend Hannah's interest in travel and the things she'd like to see and do along the way to find her a life partner. Sorry about the terrible attempt at singing by yours truly. I won't be auditioning for the X Factor any time soon!!!
